Our Story
Lane Crosson was a once-in-a-generation type of person. His fun-loving personality and overwhelming love for everyone he encountered were traits that, for those who knew him, can only hope to replicate in our everyday lives. Lane never met a stranger, was never too busy to lend a helping hand to someone in need, and was always interested in what someone had to say. With his infectious personality, Lane left a piece of himself in everyone he interacted with. Lane was tragically taken from the world while helping with cleanup efforts from Hurricane Irma on September 26, 2017. Even though he is gone, his legacy continues to prosper in our community. To preserve Lane’s legacy of inspiring and helping others the LC5 Foundation was created. The Foundation was created to continue the impact of making the community a better place just as Lane did during his entire life for generations to come. This foundation is set to be a pillar in the community and help those in need while also helping students through Scholarship and Leadership programs. Our story is just getting started and we can’t wait to see how it evolves moving forward.
The LC5 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that will be working with private sponsors while also holding 4 fundraising events per year. A portion of our proceeds will be going to benefit Jade’s Journey, as well as the creation of a scholarship in Lane’s memory and the creation of a leadership program. Jades Journey is a fund set up to mitigate costs for Lane’s cousin Jade and her battle against childhood brain cancer. The scholarship will be a scholarship in Lane’s memory given out once a year to help graduating seniors mitigate the costs of higher education. The leadership program will help to grow leadership qualities and provide opportunities for personal development for students enrolled in the program.
